Home / Technology / A redesign
You likely have noticed things look a bit different around here. One of my goals for 2008 was to clean up my site with a redesign. I was looking for a one column layout that was clean, crisp and easy to navigate. I think I’ve accomplished that in this site.
There is no sidebar, as most of that information is now contained in the links along the top right of the page. If you were a fan of the recent comments section, it is now located on its own page. This will take some getting used to, and may not be as practical as showing them on the sidebar. However, I like the clean look. I may incorporate them back in, at a later date, as a feature on the front page just under the header, but above the posts. I will play with that coding over the next few months.
If you were a fan of my random musings, they’re now contained within the regular posts. As a result, you are able to comment on them, and link to them. This should allow more community participation. Sometimes, some of my best commentary is in my random musings.
I removed my random picture, as it was serving no real purpose. The link to purchase my photos is gone too. But, you can still purchase my photographs, or view my photographs. The sites are active, and maintained by me. Again, they were serving no real purpose.
Overall, I hope you like the redesign. If there is a feature you’d like to see, or something you don’t like about the redesign, please feel free to let me know in the comments.
