Yesterday, after our auction, Isaac, Ethan and I headed out to the woods for some afternoon squirrel hunting. It was a cold, dreary, day so the prospects of squirrels were fairly limited. It was no surprise when we didn’t see any squirrels. We took Abby along for the hunt (Isaac and Ethan’s Chesapeake Retriever). She did manage to flush out three pheasants (two rosters roosters and one hen). So, although the day as was a bust for squirrels, it wasn’t all wasted. The activity of flushing three pheasants, as Ethan and I discussed, more than made up for the day. Not to mention the comradery of hanging out with Isaac and Ethan and spending time in the woods.
